I am 19 years old living with a lesbian mother and a sister in Kakuma Refugee Camp. I take a lot of responsibility in the LGBTIQ community at Block 13 because I feel the capability of doing it. I am a Human Right Defender and a volunteer teacher, teaching the little angels of the rainbow family in the camp.

Lucretia is a young trans woman and human rights defender living in Kakuma, Kenya the biggest refugee camp in the world with 200,000 people. She is a refugee from Uganda. She contacted Chris via Facebook to say how much the show inspired her.

I am John, my gender identity is am a transgender and my preferred name is Lucretia. I was living in Uganda, and i was working as a waiter in a certain restaurant (nice eateries) . It was when I got my partner in July 2018, Derrick that everything went wrong.

I mostly grew up with my mom, attended school like any other normal child, I was always referred to be like girls the behaviors and deeds. Born 1999 in Kampala district. As I turned 14 years, I started developing love for my fellow boys and after few I came out as a gay boy to my extended homestead where I grew up.
Umar- I have a story
I am Umar a Gay man aged 27yrs living in Kenya, Kakuma Refugee Camp, Block 13. I fled to Kenya to seek for Asylum and to be protected because I was being persecuted and was going to be killed and burnt alive by my dad and family in my home country.

I am 27 years, am a mother and a lesbian living in Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya. I have two children; a boy of 7 years and a girl of 6 years, plus the one I lost here in the camp. I was born in Mukono District, Uganda.
