Lucretia walks us through and describes the conditions on the ground in Block 13, describing recent attacks, showing some of the shelters recently destroyed and telling us how the LGBT community in Kakuma's Block 13 sleep outside at night for fear of being trapped inside during an attack.

When facing discrimination, food and water are an issue. Other refugees see LGBTIQA+ people as subhuman and force them to receive water last. The community are left with dirty water causing outbreaks of malaria and typhoid.
Desperately short of badly needed medicines and basic medical supplies, we're raising money to ensure these basic needs are met providing care for wounds and sickness.
It seems like a long journey to go from fleeing your home country due to persecution and threat based on your sexuality and/or gender expression to reach a place of safety. Block 13 had become a holding place where this LGBTIQA+ community often experience more threat and violence than the country they fled. We stand for asylum to be granted this community in a safer country.
